le butterfly is carried by the wind to a high place, it sends a hidden signal. The male butterfly may be far away but he receives this signal and responds, no matter how hard man tries to confuse them with different smells. One wonders, does this tiny creature have its own broadcasting station, and does the female butterfly have a radio receiver? For the transmission and receiving are done both ways.
Before radio was invented, it was said that it was scent that attracted the male butterfly to the female. Whatever is the case, it is still miraculous because the scent would go in every direction with or without the wind, and in this case the male butterfly, through the millions of particles dispersed in the air, would have to determine the location of the female. One wonders whether there will ever come a time when human communication develops to such an extent that a person can call his friend without any mechanical means and receive an answer, even if it is at distances where the voice cannot be heard.
